The primaeval forest and lush savanna is home to elephant, lion, wild dog, buffalo, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope, in addition to many other endemic species.

You can enjoy 2 game activities per day; drives in open 4×4 vehicles and guided walks are both offered by the lodge. Between game viewing activities you can relax next to the pool or on your verandah, looking out over the African bush. There is also a curio shop.

Puku Ridge Tented Camp is small and intimate, built among the trees in a game-rich area of the South Luangwa National Park. From its vantage point on the low, rocky ridge you can look out across a section of the fertile, water-rich Kakumbi dambo (valley).

Puku ridge is named for the elusive Puku antelope which never strays far from water.

You have the option of 2 game viewing activities per day including game drives and night drives in open 4×4 vehicles driven by a knowledgeable guide, as well as walks with a professional guide and an armed national parks scout.

Game to be seen in the area includes elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo and giraffe. At Puku Ridg eWell-lit pathways cleared of undergrowth connect the tents to the main bar / lounge. The vegetation has otherwise been left undisturbed, so you truly have the feeling of being in the African bush.
