Kenya Safaris From Nairobi
Kenya considered by many as the Safari Capital Of The World is known as the “land of the original safari”. It is here that safaris were born, the root of safari expeditions as we know it today. The term safari is a Kiswahili word meaning to travel.
Today it is one of the few African safari destinations that offer a truly authentic African safari experience that gives a natural reminder of what it was like many years ago.
Today there are many other African Safari destinations that offer unique safari experiences. Check out our luxury safari holidays and mid-range packages or talk to us today on a tailor-made safari package. We are an Africa based safari tour operator.
Best African Safaris
When most people think of an African wildlife safari, they think of the Serengeti – and rightly so. Between the Serengeti National Park, Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya the Okavango Delta in Botswana and Kruger National Park in South Africa these parks protect the greatest and most varied collection of wildlife on earth, and one of the last great migratory systems still intact.
Our African safaris get you straight to Africa’s best-known wildlife destinations, including the Big Five, and you need not break the bank in the process.
Your choice of safari comes down partly to the wildlife. For most first-timers, the ‘Big Five’ will probably be on the top the wish their wish list – for the uninitiated, that’s lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino, so named because they were once considered a hunter’s most dangerous adversaries.

Is It Safe To Travel To Africa For A Safari
Africa remains a safe holiday destination, especially for safari and the top African safari destinations provide extra security around their tourist areas. There are also strict rules while in game parks that tourists are expected to follow for their own safety.
Some of these rules include:
Not leaving the vehicle while at the park
Never stand up or dangle your arms or legs out of the vehicle. Never leave the vehicle. Doing so will provoke the animals, putting everyone at serious risk.
Ask For A Guard
Most camps and lodges in Africa do not have a fence and so the animals will often roam freely sometimes you will wake up to a lion kill just outside your tent. In some camps and lodges you are advised to call an armed guard when going between your tent and other structures within the camp for example the dining area especially at night. In general if you follow the rules you will be fine.
Safari Where To Go
For a first time African Safari experience, the choice is between Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda (East Africa) and South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia. (Southern Africa)
East Africa offers something Southern Africa doesn’t. Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking in the wild so if you are looking to interact with these primates then consider Uganda and Rwanda. Uganda is unique in that you can still do Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking and still go on traditional game drives in parks such as Queen Elizabeth and Murchison falls.
Having said that Botswana in Southern Africa offers the highest quality of wildlife viewing, animal diversity, and excellent private lodges its also home to the Okavango delta. The largest inland delta in the world.
So where is the best place to go on safari? The answer is it depends. For wildlife viewing Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya will not dissappoint. For primates then Rwanda and Uganda would be the best options.
There is also more to Africa than wildlife safaris.
Best Places To Vacation In Africa
Africa offers more than wildlife safaris and game drives. Its rich in historical sites and cultural experiences too. Not to mention that Africa has great white sandy beaches. So for those looking for a beach vacation you can’t go wrong with places like Zanzibar, Lamu and Mozambique to mention but a few.
