Sarova Mara Game Camp — 75 luxury tents deep in Kenya's most celebrated game sanctuary. Full Board. The Big Five. The Great Migration. Yours to discover.
Sarova Mara Game Camp sits in the very heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve — the most celebrated wildlife ecosystem in Africa. Across 1,510 km² of open savannah, riverine forest and rolling plains, this is the stage for the world's greatest wildlife spectacle: the annual Great Wildebeest Migration.
The camp offers three distinct accommodation categories — 59 Deluxe Tents, 12 premium Olchani Club Tents and 4 two-bedroom Family Tents — all on Full Board. Tented accommodation delivers genuine immersion: the sounds of the bush at night, the golden morning light through canvas, the proximity to nature that no solid-wall structure can match.
As part of the Sarova Hotels group, standards of service, food quality and professionalism are consistently high. Whether it's your first safari or your tenth, the Mara always delivers.
Between July and October, over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra cross the Mara River in one of nature's most dramatic performances. Sarova Mara's location places you at the centre of it all.

A minimum of 2 nights is required during Peak Season (15 June–30 September). No minimum stay applies in other seasons.

Valid photo identification (passport or national ID) is required at check-in for all guests.
Keekorok Airstrip is the primary fly-in point. Shared transfers are USD 80/person one-way; exclusive vehicle (max 6 pax) is USD 170 one-way. Additional charges apply from other airstrips.

The camp lies within the Maasai Mara National Reserve — not a conservancy — giving direct, unmediated access to the core game-viewing zone. The Mara River, Oloololo Escarpment and open plains are all within easy driving distance.
Check-in from 2:00 PM. Check-out by 10:00 AM. Early arrival requests should be noted at booking — every effort is made to accommodate, subject to availability.

Sarova Mara Game Camp sits at the heart of the Masai Mara, surrounded by two streams and an ancient fig grove. A large fish pond and a traditional Maasai village adjoin the camp, giving the property a sense of deep connection to the landscape that newer camps cannot replicate. The entire camp is enclosed by a 24-hour electric fence — you are completely safe, yet completely immersed in the African bush.
Three tent categories offer different levels of luxury and inclusions — from the comfortable and spacious Deluxe Tents to the fully all-inclusive Olchani Club experience, and the generously proportioned Family Tents for parties of four.
Spacious canvas tents with all the comforts you need — en-suite bathrooms, twin or double bed configurations, and that unmistakable feeling of sleeping within the sounds of the African bush. The Deluxe Tent is the heart of the Sarova Mara experience. Each tent features premium bedding, a laptop-compatible safe, writing desk, bathrobes and an en-suite bathroom. Your private verandah overlooks the bush — it is not unusual to see wildlife passing at dawn.
A third bed is available at USD 83–182/night depending on season. Up to 3 beds per tent. Max 5 single rooms per group at single rates.
The Olchani Club Tents represent the pinnacle of the Sarova Mara experience. A fully all-inclusive category with access to the exclusive Olchani Lounge, complimentary minibar, complimentary laundry, guided nature walks and evening sundowners — all wrapped in a more private, attentive camp-within-a-camp atmosphere. Set away from the main camp for extra privacy and quiet. Your personal butler handles everything — from sundowner arrangements to private dining requests. The Olchani area has its own exclusive dining terrace.
Game drives are NOT included in Olchani rates. Supplement: USD 300 for 2 drives/day (morning + evening) or USD 550 for a full-day drive.
Age Restriction: Children under 13 years of age are not permitted in the Olchani Club Tents or the Olchani Club Lounge.
Four spacious two-bedroom family tents offer the ideal solution for families travelling together. The unit accommodates up to 4 persons and is sold as a single unit — providing privacy, space and that all-important separation between adults and younger guests after a long day in the bush. Designed for families with children. The interconnecting layout means parents and children each have their own sleeping space while staying together. The camp's family entertainment program — archery, fishing, nature walks — keeps children engaged throughout your stay.
The Family Tent is sold as a single unit and cannot be split. Peak Season supplement: USD 695/unit/night. Children under 6 sharing with adults stay free.
The Maasai Mara is among the world's foremost game-viewing destinations. From the thundering drama of the wildebeest crossing to intimate encounters with lion prides at dawn, Sarova Mara positions you at the centre of it all. Activities range from shared game drives to exclusive cultural encounters with the Maasai.
Game drives are the centrepiece of any Mara stay. Morning drives begin at first light, when predators are most active and the golden hour light is extraordinary. Evening drives capture the amber glow of sunset across the plains. Full-day drives allow for deep exploration — following a leopard, waiting at a river crossing, or simply immersing yourself in the quiet immensity of the landscape.

A guided walk within the camp premises — ideal for birders and those who want to experience the bush on foot. The camp's birdlife alone is exceptional, with 470+ species in the reserve.
A guided walking safari within the Greater Mara Game Park area — a more intimate and exhilarating way to experience the ecosystem, tracking animals on foot with a trained guide.

An in-depth, private cultural talk with a Maasai guide — covering history, traditions, land use, conservation and the relationship between the Maasai and the wildlife of the Mara.
All stays at Sarova Mara are on Full Board — breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. The camp's dining is a genuine highlight: fresh, varied menus that cater to international guests without losing the local flavour, served in the open-air dining area with the sounds of the bush as your backdrop.
Beyond the standard Full Board offering, a range of supplementary dining experiences turns meals into moments — from bush breakfasts on the open savannah to Boma Dinners under the African night sky.
Full Board is included in all Deluxe Tent rates. Olchani Club Tent guests receive the full All-Inclusive plan at the Olchani Lounge (excluding premium drinks).
A Demi-Pension reduction of USD 8 per person is available if one meal needs to be excluded.
Extra lunch (e.g. for fly-in guests arriving after standard meal service): USD 35 per person. Casual meal rates available for day visitors — Breakfast USD 30 · Lunch USD 35 · Dinner USD 40.
Sarova Mara has quietly built a collection of signature experiences that go well beyond the standard game drive.
Join the camp's resident agronomist for a tour of the organic garden, learning about local spices and sustainable farming. Then cook your chosen ingredients with the chef and dine in the garden. You even take home the recipes and a certificate — one of the most memorable experiences in the Mara.
A truly wild dining experience — your table is set beside the camp's salt lick, where elephants, buffalo and other wildlife come to drink as the sun goes down. No other camp in the Mara offers this combination of fine dining and unscripted wildlife theatre.
As the light turns golden over the Mara, your guide drives you to a carefully chosen spot on the plains. Cold drinks, a crackling fire, and Africa stretching to the horizon. This is the ritual that brings every safari day to its perfect close.
For special occasions — anniversaries, honeymoons, birthdays — the Sarova team has a tradition of whisking guests away to a private spot by one of the camp's streams for a champagne breakfast. Ask us to arrange it when you book.
All rates are in US Dollars, inclusive of taxes and service charge. Full Board is the standard meal plan. Park entry fees are excluded from all rates and must be budgeted separately.
