Chongwe River House
Chongwe River House is an exclusive private house situated about 1km from Chongwe River Camp, at the end of a large winterthorn grove. Made entirely out of wild wood and ferro walls, this Zambia villa provides the ideal getaway for those in search of peaceful seclusion.
Relax in the sitting room, where each piece of furniture has been carved from a fallen winterthorn tree, and sip on a refreshing drink as you spot animals feeding and watering along the river bank.
Hop on board an open safari vehicle and go on a game drive around the Lower Zambezi National Park, or embark on a walking safari, accompanied by knowledgeable guides and armed scouts. This area is renowned for its enormous herds of elephants, and is also home to many other species, including the elusive leopard.
Go canoeing along the river for a unique game-viewing experience, and try your hand at fishing, as this area is home to one of the world’s premiere game fish, the Tiger.
Recline on the platform above the large swimming pool, and absorb the sun’s warm rays as you admire the surrounding mountain vistas.
Chongwe River House is located on the banks of the Chongwe River, in the Lower Zambezi National Park, in Zambia.
