Elephant Plains Game Lodge
Elephant Plains Game Lodge a privately owned and operated property within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Over many years strict conservation policies and successful habitat management have resulted in a rich diversity of fauna and flora.
Not only is the area home to Africa’s ‘Big Five’, but you may also spot other rarer species, such as the endangered wild dog and cheetah.
The lodge has a beautiful setting on the banks of the dry Manyeleti River. From the main deck you can look out to the waterhole opposite the camp, which frequently attracts herds of elephant and other wildlife.
Another great feature of Elephant Plains is the African Health Spa, which offers a wide variety of treatments.
4×4 vehicles enable the rangers to drive off-road and provide you with up close game viewing and great photographic opportunities. A typical day will start with an early morning game drive.
After breakfast, a bush walk gives you the opportunity to learn about the smaller wonders of the bush. During the afternoon game drive you stop at a carefully selected venue to enjoy a sundowner, before continuing on a night drive using spotlights to look for nocturnal animals.
Service is first class, with helpful staff willing to take care of your every need. Children are made to feel very welcome, however, game drives are strictly subject to the approval of the ranger. Elephant Plains Game Lodge is a choice if you are on a Kruger park safari.
