Engagi Lodge
Engagi Lodge is a standard lodge bordering the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda.
The main lodge is divided into 3 sections, the bar, the restaurant and the large wooden verandah with seperate outdoor viewing platform. The front of the lodge is open and offers panoramic views over Bwindi.
To have a minimal impact on the environment, the main lodge is built entirely from rocks found in and around the site while the roof has been thatched using banana fiber sourced from local farmers. Electricity is supplied by solar power, with a backup generator and hot water is supplied by wood burning boilers.
You will be able to enjoy a number of private walking trails around the lodge and down to the nearby river. You can also enjoy excursions to a number of functioning tea farms in the area.
