Governors’ Private Camp is an exclusive camp with a traditional safari atmosphere, situated on the banks of the Mara River. This is a small camp of just 8 tents, set in a semi-circle around a large waterhole with resident hippo. The camp can be booked by one family or group at a time, so it’s yours to enjoy, as the name suggests, in private.

There are various activities on offer including game drives in open vehicles, game walks and hot-air balloon safaris over the wide plains of the Masai Mara.

The world-famous Mara is home to Africa’s ‘Big 5′ and, from July to October, becomes the backdrop for the great migration of thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebra.

Day excursions to the Lake Victoria are also on offer. It should be noted that Governors’ Private Camp must be booked by a minimum of 4 guests staying for at least 3 nights.
