Il Ngwesi Eco Lodge
Il Ngwesi in northern Kenya is owned and run by the local Maasai community, and all proceeds go directly back into the community, supporting nearly 500 households as well as benefiting wildlife conservation.
The lodge offers game drives, where you might see hand-reared black rhino Omni, guided walks and bird watching excursions, and even camel safaris.
Visit a Maasai cultural boma and learn about traditional hunting practices, or watch the dancing of the Moran warriors – a vibrant display of Maasai culture.
Relax in comfort in one of the open fronted ‘bandas’ (cottages) and enjoy a night under the stars when your bed is rolled out into the open. During the day laze about in the infinity pool or spend time overlooking the waterhole.
Know that you are giving back to the community when you stay at Il Ngwesi, as all activities and operations of the eco-lodge benefit the local Maasai and the wildlife of northern Kenya.
Il Ngwesi Eco Lodge is situated on the edge of the Mukogodo Hills in a 16 500ha reserve in northern Kenya.
