Kalamu Bush Camp
Kalamu Bush Camp is situated in the Luamfma concession in the southern sector of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
The main lodge consists of a dining and bar area under a canopy of trees, as well as a wildlife reference library and comfortable lounge, where you can sit and listen to the grunting of the hippos echoing up and down the river.
A fallen Zambian Fig Tree provides the camp with an unusual lookout point offering beautiful views of the Muchinga escarpment, which can also be enjoyed from the private plunge pool.
Kalamu Bush Camp provides daily game drives and is renowned for its guided bush walks, a wonderful opportunity to get up close to big game. If you want to see more of the area you can take a day trip to closeby natural hot springs or take a cultural tour to a local village.
Kalamu Bush Camp aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible. All the electricity for lights and fans is powered by solar panels, and water is supplied by a borehole and also warmed using solar power.
