Klein’s Camp
Ideal for honeymooners and for those wishing to see big game in exclusive surroundings, Klein’s Camp is a small and elegant safari lodge, set against one of the world’s most awe-inspiring backdrops, deep in the heart of Maasai territory in the Serengeti National Park.
Round stone walls and polished floors beautifully offset the soft cream and gossamer-fabric interiors, and the décor at Klein’s Camp resembles an old Tangyanikan coffee plantation house.
The camp has a large bar/ living area, plunge pool, curio shop, leisure deck and library, with the shared living spaces – the restaurant and lounge – commanding spectacular views of the valley and surrounding hills.
Klein’s is situated in a 10 000-hectare private sanctuary leased from the local Masai community, and shares the sanctuary with the local Maasai pastoralists. The camp is bordered to the north by Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve and to the west by the Serengeti National Park, where you’ll enjoy thrilling game drives.
Klein’s Camp plays an active role in involving the neighbouring Maasai people in ecotourism initiatives through participation in community projects, employment opportunities and sustainable resource use.
