Kulala Desert Lodge
Kulala Desert Lodge is situated in the heart of the Namib Desert, surrounded by red dunes and open plains.
The main area is built in accordance with North African style, and has been built entirely from clay bricks. The area consists of a lounge, pub and dining area, with a wrap-around veranda overlooking a waterhole and surrounding desert plains.
A range of activities are offered, allowing you to explore the surrounding desert. In the early mornings, guided trips to the Sossusvlei red dunes will give you a unique desert experience. One morning you could go on a 60-90 minute balloon safari where you will be served with a champagne breakfast on your landing site. Nature walks and drives around the private reserve are also offered.
Cool off in the afternoons in the plunge pool near the main lodge, or watch animals such as oryx, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, ostrich and jackal come to drink from the waterhole in front of the main building.
Kulala Desert Lodge is situated in the heart of the Namib, 350km South of Windhoek, in the Namib-Naukluft Park, Namibia.
