Nkwali Camp
Nkwali Camp is located in the Mfuwe area, on the border of the South Luangwa National Park near the Languawa River.
The area is well-known for leopard and giraffe sightings, and elephants can frequently be spotted crossing the river. The area is also home to other game such as lion, hippo and buffalo as well as over 400 species of birds.
Nkwali is made up of spacious chalets in an area of ebony woodland and open grasslands. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, allowing for a truly personal and secluded African experience. Access to the park is by boat or their nearby pontoon.
Nkwali offers walking safaris and both day and night game drives. Boat trips are also offered between November and mid May. For those wishing to enjoy a relaxing day at the camp, the bar overlooks the Luangwa River and the restaurant is positioned next to a waterhole.
The camp is designed to accommodate family holidays. Children may be included on family safaris, or may be left at the camp under the supervision of the staff. A range of activities are available for children including fun quizzes and puzzles, and trips to Kawaza school to meet the Zambian children.
Nkwali is located 30km south of Tena Tena, overlooking the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
