Okahirongo Elephant Lodge
Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is one of Namibia’s more remote destinations and is located in the Purros Conservancy, a no risk malaria destination, which can be reached in a 4×4 vehicle or on a 2hr15min flight from Windhoek.
The cottages are decorated in a rich and sensuous fusion of ochre, honey and sand colors, but each one has its own unique style and atmosphere; ethnic and locally carved furnishing adds to the romance and excitement of the pervading African landscapes.
The lodge has a spectacular wraparound view and you can spend your days lazing around the pool, reading a book in the cool comfort of the library, relaxing in one of the 2 open air lounges or having a body massage.
Safari activities at the lodge include tracking the desert adapted elephants, twice daily game and scenic drives in open 4×4 vehicles, night drives, morning desert walks and cultural visits to the local Himba village.
Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is located in the Purros Conservancy, in the Kunene Region of Namibia.
