Sausage Tree Camp
Sausage Tree Camp is sheltered by mature mahogany, acacia and sausage trees along the Zambezi River, overlooking the scenic channels with water lilies and hippo.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is rich in game. During your stay you’ll have a good chance of seeing many of the larger mammals including elephant, hippo, buffalo, waterbuck, zebra and, if you’re lucky, the elusive leopard.
With no fences, elephant and other game frequently walk through camp, making it possible to enjoy game experiences from the comfort of your tent. The communal areas at Sausage Tree Camp include a reading tent with a deck overlooking the river, as well as a main kitchen tent and dining area.
There’s a large range of game-viewing activities to choose from, including game-drives (both day and night), walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing. As the camp is remote, there are few other people around, so your game viewing shouldn’t be disturbed by other vehicles.
