Simbavati River Lodge
Set within the northern region of the Timbavati Game Reserve, Simbavati River Lodge is encircled by over 12 000 hectares of wildlife-rich wilderness, where guests can experience a genuine African safari.
Timbavati adjoins the western border of the Kruger Park, forming a unique combination of public and private lands called “The Greater Kruger Park”. There are no fences between the 2 reserves allowing the animals to move freely between Kruger and Timbavati.
The design of the lodge is contemporary and the spacious lounge, bar, boma and extensive decks provide lovely views overlooking the Nhlaralumi River where regular wildlife sightings take place.
You’ll also find a small plunge pool, an activity area to keep children occupied.
Early morning and evening game drives at Simbavati River Lodge ensure excellent game spotting when the animals are most active. Take amazing photos of the Big 5 on guided excursions led by the lodge’s experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers.
Friendly staff make guests feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. For those travelling with children, they are catered for with a comprehensive activity plan and games room.
