The Burning Shore
Lying on the edge of one of the world’s largest sand dunes, guests of the luxurious Burning Shore can marvel at the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert.
In the summertime you can cool down with a refreshing cocktail or sundowner from the Pleasure Flights Cocktail Bar and in winter the fireplace in either the bar or private lounge offers a cozy retreat.
The Burning Shore offers a host of activities ranging from fishing, dolphin cruises, seal colony visits and skydiving through to dune surfing and camel rides.
Day excursions into the haunting desert hinterland can also be arranged and this includes visits to Sandwich Harbour, Bird Island, Walvis Bay Lagoon, Moon Landscape, Dune Seven, as well as marine safaris to Pelican Point Seal Colony and dolphin spotting.
The Burning Shore is located on the beachfront at Long Beach in Namibia, 15km from Swakopmund and Walvis Bay.
