The River Club
The River Club is situated on the Zambian banks of the Zambezi River, 18km upstream from the famous Victoria Falls.
The main house is designed in an Edwardian style, with a large and comfortable lounge and dining room, and a veranda with views over the gardens and river. The gardens are beautiful, with manicured lawns, a croquet lawn and a pool built on the edge of a cliff on the river banks.
You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the river from your River Club chalet, which is completely open in the front. Just across the river is the Zambezi National Park, so you can often spot elephant and hippo, as well as the area’s rich bird population.
There are a number of exciting activities in the area. You can enjoy the African sunset from a sundowner river cruise, and experience the local culture on visits to Simonga Village, local markets and Livingstone. Daily trips to the Victoria Falls are also offered.
Other activities in the area include whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, abseiling and helicopter flights over the Falls.
