Day 1: Arrival in Botswana
Upon arriving at Maun Airport, you clear customs and immigration services before meeting a Safari Travel Plus representative, who will assist you with check in procedures for your 30 minute light aircraft transfer from Maun to Camp Okavango. When landing at the Camp Okavango airstrip, you are met by your local ranger and transferred to Camp. Lunch is served overlooking the intricate little waterways surrounding the camp. You have some time to relax and unwind before your first afternoon activity. All game-viewing activities are conducted by experienced professional guides who will navigate guests through a variety of tranquil waterways while they explore the Okavango by canoe (mokoro) and motorboat. Guided nature walks on the various islands allow for the opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit
this water wilderness. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also
offered as an activity at the camp (seasonal).
