9 Day Southern Africa Safari
Multi Country African Safari
This is a 9 Day Multi Country African safari that starts in Maun and takes you to the Makgadikgadi pans then to the Okavango delta then to chobe before heading to Zimbabwe for a Victoria falls safari.
Day 1-2: Makgadikgadi Pans
After arriving in Maun you will transfer to Leroo La Tau Lodge where you will spend the next 2 nights.
The lodge’s 12 luxurious chalets all have private balconies with views over the water and elegantly designed en-suite bathrooms. Large concentrations of game can be expected from this alluring lodge. The main lounge and dining area, with its inviting wooden and thatch finish, allows you to relax at the bar while listening to the wide variety of night sounds so characteristic of the African bush. Alternatively you can lounge around the swimming pool or enjoy the panoramic river vista.
Game drives through the adjacent Makgadikgadi Pans National Park afford you spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. Night drives in the area offer you the chance to spot lions and follow them on the hunt. If you would like to explore your surroundings from a different point of view, stroll around the lodge on a guided walking tour.
Accommodation: Leroo La Tau
Day 3-4: Okavango Delta Safari
This morning you will transfer to Camp Okavango by air. This water based camp offers the perfect chance to explore the natural beauty of the region.
Camp Okavango has 11 airy and magnificent East African safari-style tents to choose from, or the secluded and luxurious Okavango Suite thatched cottage. All tents are en-suite, have tea and coffee facilities and a balcony to take in the shimmering waterways below. The service is world-class and the facilities include a library, swimming pool to dive into on a hot day, as well as a boma and a sundeck to take in another glorious African sunset.
Expect to see elephant wading through the muddy waters, as well as buffalo, hippopotamus and Nile crocodiles. Get the chance to see some of Africa’s more shy antelope; the sitatunga, red lechwe and sable as well as giraffe, kudu and zebra. Remember, where there are big herds of prey you can also count on predators being close by, so keep your eyes peeled for lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena.

Day 5-6: Chobe National Park Safari
On this morning, you will be transferred by air to Chobe Game Lodge.
Chobe Game Lodge is a 5 star luxury lodge on the shores of the magnificent Chobe River. The lodge is the only one in the Chobe National Park and this alone makes it one of the best destinations to visit in Southern Africa. Built to make the most of the river view, the wide front verandah offers spectacular views of the flooded plain below and the resident wildlife. The new boardwalk offers 250 metres of elevated platform to settle down and watch the changing wildlife and scenery.
Chobe’s diverse wildlife roams in abundance – it is, for instance, home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa. During the dry season these large herds, as well as vast herds of buffalo, congregate on the fertile flood plains along the Chobe River to drink, bathe and play. There are frequent sightings of lion, African wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe and roan antelope.

A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, an invitation-only group, this luxurious hotel boasts 161 stunning rooms and suites and exuberates excellent service.
