11 Day South Africa Tour
Day 1: Cape Town Orientation
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by your guide who will assist you with luggage and your private transfer to the hotel.
Drive through the city to orientate yourself and see the beautiful table mountain as you drive over and to the other side. You will drive along the coast and see some of the gorgeous cliffs that drop straight into the ocean. This drive is some of the most beautiful scenery we have in the Western Cape.
You will drive into the town of Houtbay and onto Chapmans Peak where you will then drive down the side of the mountain to this hidden gem. Tintswalo Atlantic is located on the rocks and shores of the mountain. You will sit breathless and awe inspired by the location of this unique hotel.

Day 2: Private Cape Peninsula Tour
Depart Tintswalo and drive through the rest of Chapman’s Peak. Further around the mountain as if appearing from no where the longest beach in the Cape appears in front of you with spectacular views of these sandy shores.
As we enter the Cape of Good Hope National Park, nature becomes abundant with rocky shores, unique vegetation, indigenous birds & views to die for. Animals that call this park home are those such as Cape Mountain Zebra, Ostrich, Eland, Bontebok & Baboon.
Once reaching the Point, choose to either climb or ride by funicular to where the lighthouse stands. On our way out, a must-see visit to the Cape of Good Hope allows another photo opportunity, the most South Western point of Africa.
Our lunch stop is a local stop in the fishing harbour of Kalk bay (Lunch at own account). After lunch, visit the African Penguins at Boulders Beach. Driving along the coast, direction Cape Town, take in the views of the ocean & seaside towns such as St James & Muizenberg.

Day 3: Cape Winelands
This is a day-tour perfect for the wine, gourmet & antique-lover, visiting Stellebosch and/or Franschoek & Paarl. Stellenbosch is South Africa’s second-oldest town & Franschhoek where the French Huguenots settled in 1688. These quaint towns clearly have history as you drive through & see how different they feel to any surrounding areas. After discussing preferred tastes & getting an idea of the likes & dislikes of our guests, a plan of which estates to visit will be done.
Spoil yourselves by indulging in a very special chocolate & wine tasting at the renowned Waterford wine estate, followed by a wine drive through the vineyards. The drive allows guests the opportunity to sit surrounded by the vineyards that produced the very wine being sipped on.
Start the day with a visit to a local market (Saturdays) and experience a typical South Africans weekend morning out – the R44 Market offers live music and lots of food and goods to indulge in. (optional, no extra cost).

Day 4: West Coast Drive
After check out at Tintswalo Atlantic you will be collected by your guide for your private transfer to Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel located along the prestine coastline of the West Coast.
Once you arrive at this beautiful hidden gem of a hotel located on the natural beaches of Paternoster you will have some time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Day 5: Privately Guided Full Day on the West Coast
Depart the hotel and continue along the coast to the West Coast National Park, situated around the Langebaan Lagoon, a rare biome formed by prehistoric changes in sea levels. Home to a rich food web comprising a staggering 550 invertebrate species, it is a paradise for some 55 000 birds that gather here each year.
This is the perfect spot for bird lovers to spend some time spotting; this national park is home to more than 150 bird species, including Lesser & Greater Flamingos & countless wading birds. Enjoy a lunch picnic on the beach, set up for you by your guide, and get a taste for the Cape’s waters as you get the opportunity to have a swim in the ocean or play some beach games.
After lunch and a bit of time to explore the rest of the area, return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 6: Drive through the Cederberg Mountains
After check out you will head inland through the cederberg mountains into this natural area of the country. A total change in scenery from the coastlines that you have been experiencing until now.
This area is riddled with ancient caves and caveman paintings, some of which you will have the opportunity to enjoy over the next few days in the area and then further in the Kalahari as well.
Upon arrival at Bushmans Kloof you will be greeted by the staff and assisted for check in. Your lunch is not included on this day but your dinner is. You will have time to relax at the lodge and enjoy the activities that are included such as nature drives, guided rock art excursions, botanical walks, canoeing, archery, fly fishing, hiking, swimming, special interest presentations (birding, stargazing, entomology, and rock art).

Day 7: Day at Bushmans Kloof
Today you have the day to relax and enjoy all the activities on offer at the lodge at various times in the day.
All meals are served at the lodge, we can arrange special dinner experiences in some of the old farm houses on the property which are candlelit and a unique romantic experience.
Meals are served at the lodge or a picnic can be arranged as well.

Day 8: Kalahari Safari
After check out you will be transferred to the Cape Town International Airport (about 3 hours drive) – there is an alternative to flying privately into the airport which is about a 50 minute flight (extra cost).
You will then check in for your scheduled charter flight to Tswalu.
Upon arrival into the Tswalu airstrip you will be met by the staff who will be taking care of you during your stay on the reserve. This is one of the biggest reserves in the country and is host to only this lodge, you are now experiencing a truly unique safari experience, and a very natural one too.
There is an option at this lodge to sleep out on a bed on a hill, which is completely open to the wild. A truly unique experience one will never forget.
The activities you can take part in at this lodge include Walking safaris, led by our experienced field guides and trackers Horse-back safaris, as well as driving safaris.
Enjoy the time at the lodge, all meals are served at the lodge.

Day 9-10: Relaxing at Tswalu
Over these two days you will have the chance to relax and enjoy the day as you like it. You have your own private vehicle which means everything happens in your own time.
Activities that you can take part in are safari drives, Walking safaris, led by our experienced field guides and trackers Horse-back safaris. For families there is a junior safari programme for the little ones that they can take part in which is a lot of fun and allows you time to relax on your own at well.
Meals are served at the lodge.

Day 11: Flight to Johannesburg
After check out you will catch your scheduled charter flight to Johannesburg in time for your international flight.
